['dʒiːgola], Giovanni Battista, italienischer Maler, * Brescia 1769, ✝ Tremezzo (bei Como) 7. 8. 1841; wurde bekannt mit Porträtminiaturen. Er schuf auch Miniaturen für Bücher, u. a. zu G. Boccaccios »Decamerone« (1811) und Lord Byrons »The Corsair« (1826).
